Artist's Comment:
Prior to Sept.11, 2001 I was working on a portrait of a child, but following the events of Sept. 11, 2001 I found it extreamly difficult to finnish it. Finally after about a month or so, I looked beyond brush stroke and design, and found comfort in the smile of a child, that emotionally strengthened me and I was able to complete the piece in Dec. of 2001. Heres hoping that you to will be uplifted by a smile of a child.
