911-Ground Zero presents visual art work that deals directly with the terrorist attack that took place on 09/11/01 in NYC. We do not take a political side in this forum. Images by all visual artists are welcomed, regardless of the country of origin, political alliance, creed, sect, religion or lack of religion. . . whatever. We do not "curate" or "jury" the work that is submitted. As much as possible of the submitted work is what we will endeavor to post with the following proviso. We do NOT accept work that espouses violence or racism or is blatantly pornographic, but political and work that has an edge are welcome as well as the "candles and flowers" genre. |

Personal Message
I felt dumbfounded (and heartbroken) when I saw what had happened (I live on the harbour less than a mile and 1/2 from the tip of Manhattan). I found myself doing art within 2 hours of the event *. (Hey! I'm an artist, it's what I do.) I wanted to
do something. But what? I can't give blood (tainted!) and somewhere
around the 3rd day the idea of mounting a site where
artists could post their expressions relevant to the attacks was
something I could facilitate. So here it is.
